The Calm in the Storm

When chaos ensues, something happens. And the quickest thing people want to do is panic. Latch on to what they know, find supplies they feel they need, and run over everything else along their path.
“When a bull is angry, it doesn’t think about how he may be affecting another, he simply focuses on his target and goes.”
Chaos can evoke fear, and at times awaken selfishness and greed. Yet when the waters grow turbulent and the road turns unsteady, the wisest act is to pause and reflect. For often, it is difficult to grant yourself the grace of that reflection — to recognize that fear doesn’t need to steer your ship. Within us, we all have a light, a burning flame that makes us who we are, and that light and your love is capable of guiding you through whatever chaos may unfold beyond your control, if you allow it to.

If you find yourself struggling in deep waters, thrashing about in panic and surrendering to raw emotion, you will only exhaust yourself and sink further. Yet when you choose composure—when you allow reason to steady your mind and openness to guide your heart—you begin to see the currents for what they are, and only then can you learn to float.
When you surrender to darkness, fear, and uncertainty, you invite suffering. But when you open your heart and begin to see through the lens of love, you are no longer lost—you are found.
In moments of hardship or crisis, the instinct may be to leap onto the train of panic and be carried away with the restless flock. Yet if you pause, steady your breath, and remain centered on your own path, the chaos loses its hold. You begin to see that the light never vanished—it merely waited for your eyes to adjust. And in that quiet realization, you understand that with love, hope, and trust, you are capable of overcoming anything.
And now, you are no longer lost, you are found.
“The idea of being contained or confined—no matter how long—can feel daunting. Yet that does not mark the end. It does not mean we should surrender, nor turn a blind eye to those beside us.”
You can embody love and share compassion in countless ways. Even amid chaos, you can remain the calm within the storm. You can choose to be generous, considerate, and to practice empathy every day. When we move through hardship with mindfulness and awareness of those around us, we learn to flourish within the resources we already possess. Choose kindness.
For if Jesus—or any of the great gods, prophets, and warriors revered throughout history—had turned a blind eye to others, surrendered to darkness, or allowed fear to lead them, would we stand where we are today? The greatest leaders and divine figures did not rise by comfort, but through sacrifice. They stood above the crowd as beacons of light. And through their simple acts of love and selflessness, the course of humanity was changed. It was through their sacrifice that we endured—that we survived.
“Hate did not win, love did. A Kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.”
Choose to be Kind.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap the harvest if we do not give up. Greater love has no one than this; to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.”

We witnessed love and grew from it. We experienced compassion and learned. We adapted, we evolved, and we opened ourselves to all that love has to offer.
So why, in times of chaos, do we turn a blind eye to those around us? Why do we abandon what we know to be true, surrendering instead to the fear that seeps into our lives? It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the noise of the world—to forget the sacrifices made before us, and those still being made today.
“He gave himself to rescue us from everything evil, and to make our hearts pure. He wanted us to be his own people, and to be eager to do right.”
When turmoil rises, we often lose sight of who we are within. Panic clouds our vision, and ignorance quietly takes its place. In that blindness, we trample others in our rush to survive.
When chaos ensues, it’s easy for you to become so swept up within it all; that you forget who you truly are within. You allow yourself to be blinded by panic, and you allow ignorance to become you. You become the bull whom stomps on everyone else along the way.
Don’t become the bull that destroys what love has built. Stand still. Remember. And choose awareness over fear.

Sickness is a serious matter—but so too are acts born of greed and fear. Do not allow them to define you. Be better. Be a leader. Let compassion be your compass, as it has guided countless others before you and still does today.
As you move through your days, take a moment to consider others—to see how they, too, are affected by these hardships. These times are frightening for everyone, not just for you. Your life holds value, your story matters—but so does mine, and so does every soul walking beside you. We are all part of the same struggle, the same shared experience. We all matter.
Don’t choose self-absorption when you can choose compassion. Don’t follow the path of panic when you can rise above it. Do not hoard or diminish another’s light in fear. Instead, lift others as you walk, and you’ll find that kindness becomes the very cure the world needs.
“Be a warrior, be a vessel, be that light that we All so desperately need to see right now.”
During times like these, we mustn’t turn a blind eye to our society, our community, or Our brothers and sisters. We must unite as one. We must stand together (even if that means from your home or wherever you may reside) to fight this battle as ONE.
“Things will continue to happen, some unexpected, some that cause concern, and some that bring forth chaos. But every day you wake is a day to be thankful for. “
Rise above the ashes, walk through the smoke and the flames. Find that love that resides within, find that heart, and expand it outwards. Let that be your foundation to how you speak, act, and move forth into your days.
Moving forward, strive to Be loving, Strive to Be compassionate, strive to share your bread as other great ancestors would. Always think of others as you go about your days, and move forth into your journeys with faith, hope, compassion, and love.
For your journey may be different, but yours is not the only one that is being experienced.
“Lead with courage. Give with heart. Shine as a beacon in the dark. Stand above the tide of chaos, apart from the crowd—because what you project shapes who you are.”
As you live, you learn. As you grow, you can either take what was learned as an opportunity for positive change, or allow it to diminish. That choice is always yours. The possibilities are endless. Choose to be kind, choose to grow.
“Follow your dreams, listen to your heart. And always believe in your self. “
